EXPECTATIONS

FLEUR expects a certain level of respect and conduct to be followed by dancers at all events. We reserve the right to refuse admittance or ask anyone with unacceptable behavior to leave.

This is a professional forum for education and it should be treated and respected by all in attendance. Our faculty is here to work with the dancers and inspire them. While faculty is subject to change AND NEVER GUARANTEED FOR ANY SPECIFIC CITY, we will always provide a high level of education by OUR STAFF IN ATTENDANCE.

This is a day that will be fun and enjoyable, not stressful. We expect all to keep a positive and uplifting environment for the dancers to be able to create, learn AND INSPIRE.  IF YOU DISRUPT THAT, YOU WILL LEAVE.

WAIVERS/ RELEASE FORMS

In order to attend and/or participate at FLEUR Dance Convention, a completed waiver and release form is required.

This waiver is required for ALL registered participants - dancers, teachers, and studio owners.

Access to the studios/ballrooms will not be given to anyone without a completed waiver.  *Refunds will not be given. No exceptions will be made.*

The waivers will be emailed to the account holder (ie: studio owner and/or independent participant) two weeks prior to the event. The account holder will forward the email to everyone registered for an e-signature.

All waivers must be signed electronically no later than the Wednesday prior to the event.

Once a waiver and release form has been signed electronically, notification will be sent automatically to our office.

CLASS LEVELS

Please note that rooms and average ages may be adjusted and/or combined based on registration. At all events, convention levels are subject to change based on the registration.

While we do offer suggested age divisions for room/level placement... It is up to the discretion of the teacher, who knows the capabilities of each individual student, to determine the proper placement.

Age is determined by the dancer’s DOB at the start of the event.

In the event that a city only offers 2 divisions/levels, dancers will be divided by the following ages: 9-12 & 13+

While dancers may participate in any room, if a dancer moves down an age category, they are only eligible for scholarships if they are within one year of the age category for the room. For instance, a 14 year old who elects to dance in a 10-12 room will not be eligible for scholarship. Dancers who choose to move an age level up will be eligible for scholarships.

REFUND & CREDIT POLICY

All registrations and payments received are non-refundable; there are absolutely no exceptions to this policy – unless the event is physically cancelled by FLEUR.  To be clear, all sales are final and NO REFUNDS will be authorized.

A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS’ NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR CREDIT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY REASON. Credit consideration is on a case-by-case basis and will only be addressed with the studio owner and/or account holder.  â€‹Notification onsite upon event check-in will result in forfeiture of that registration.

Please contact info@fleurdance.com for all related credit requests.

If credit is issued, the credit is non-transferrable and is valid for up to one year.

To be clear, No credit will be provided to participants who DO NOT REACH OUT TO US via email 24hrs prior to the event, cancel, or SIMPLY FAIL TO attend.

By making/authorizing payment, you both accept and agree to the terms and conditions as outlined above.

OBSERVERS

FLEUR  takes pride in offering attendees a space where they are free to explore their passion for dance in the most nurturing and supportive environment possible.  Therefore, we do not sell Observer passes.  Teachers are free to observer and/or participate at any of our 1-Day Conventions, however they must be registered for the event.

At FLEUR, our most important goal is to provide dancers’ the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone, challenge their natural & artistic tendencies, while furthering the technical foundation that has been fostered at their home studios.  In order to do so, we have found that by removing Observers from our dancers’ rooms, that our participants stay focused in all classes, are eager to explore musicality & performance in a more vulnerable way, and have the true freedom to immerse themselves within the space alongside the guidance of our esteemed team of mentors in a way that truly supports  an environment where they can pursue, persevere, and achieve more effective & efficiently during our time together.

While this may be difficult to understand and/or hard to process for those that may be truly hands on with their dancer(s).  At FLEUR, we truly believe the adoption of this policy will not only allow us to further our goal of creating the most nurturing and supportive dance environment possible, but it will also help us to ensure the dance experience at FLEUR is the safest it can be for all of our attendees.
